Friday Roundup | 11/14/2025
This was a big week! I completed my longest run in ages, and the fourth week in my daily running project. I’m feeling some momentum start to catch!
The Rundown
Saturday, November 8: 2.06 miles. 253 feet gained. 21m 46s. I took things at a nice steady, easy pace. To be honest, I didn’t really feel like going at all, but I got out there and am glad for it.
Sunday, November 9: 5.07 miles. 962 feet gained. 1h 4m. This is the furthest I’ve run in years! It felt so good to be able to follow the urge to keep running and wander wherever the whim struck. 5 miles today, 15 to come.
Monday, November 10: 3.22 miles. 372 feet gained. 40m 4s. WOW night and I forgot to change out the batteries in my headlamp so it’s a good thing my phone had some charge to it. I’ve been thinking a lot about kicks today.
Tuesday, November 11: 2 miles. 233 feet gained. 21m 44s. Something about my 2-milers ends up in me going out at a lazy, leisurely pace, and coming back at a (for me) dead sprint. It feels good to ask my body to pick up the pace, even if it’s only for a little bit. Also, I have nothing figured out.
Wednesday, November 12: 3.75 miles. 551 feet gained. 39m 56s. I have not run this hard in a while. I wanted to be able to say that I had run with Rachel Drake enough that I decided to join the “speedy” group on the WOW run. Ha! I dropped quite a ways back, but held on to the group enough that I could follow their headlamps through unfamiliar trails to make it back. Is it even a trail run if you don’t get at least a little bit lost?
Thursday, November 13: 1.53 miles. 184 feet gained. 19m 26s. Just a lazy recovery run after a big push yesterday, and celebrating consistency.
Friday, November 14: Rest day! I’m trying to take it as easy as I can. The 2:30 AM wakeup calls are really starting to wear on me.
What I’m Making
I’ve officially purchased the Loom Sweater pattern and the yarn to boot! I ordered an undyed yarn, and am planning to dye it with indigo and weld to hopefully yield a lovely green. Wish me luck!
