Frequently Asked Questions
What to Expect During a Session
Never done a documentary session and don't know what to expect? I've got you covered.
Documentary photography is similar to lifestyle photography, but is much more relaxed. My goal for every session is to capture what it feels like to live the sacred, glorious experiences of this season of your life.
Where do sessions take place?
Documentary sessions are typically held in your home, neighborhood, favorite park, or another place that holds significant meaning to you.
If you would like to document an adventure or other significant experience, I do those as well! Sometimes the most inconsequential detail ends up holding unexpected meaning, and it's such a joy to see them come to life in the photos.
How do we prepare for the session?
Prior to your session, I'll work with you to identify what special details you'd like to include: favorite games, activities, experiences that sum up your life now.
During the session, I work hard to bring those details to life and also follow my own artistic eye throughout the session—sometimes we live so close to the magic that we can't see it until someone shows us from the outside and that's exactly what I'm here for.
How long is a session and what’s included?
All of my standard sessions are one hour in length, and the time is filled with living and loving and heart. I can't wait to share that sacred time with you!
Booking a session begins with a nonrefundable session fee of $500 to cover my time and talent. Collection prices begin at $800—you can read more about what is included in each collection here.

Museum-Quality Prints
As a photographer, I know how much it means to have physical prints of your photos.
And as a mom, I know how hard it can be to place the order.
It seems every other task inevitably takes higher priority, and by the time the pictures are hung everyone has already grown beyond recognition. I'm here to help.
I've taken the legwork out of ordering prints by filtering products down to only the best. Every product that I carry is museum-quality and is created by companies that prioritize environmentally sustainable practices.
